Builders Update is the #1 source of new home inventory in the nation, with the most up-to-date and accurate information about to-be-built homes, condos and lots available. I designed and animated several videos explaining the core concepts of their business. Specifically, a series of nine motion graphic videos and a dozen how-to tutorial videos for the company. https://www.buildersupdate.com/ The process began with a script provided by the guys at BU which I then took and recorded a temp track with my voice. From there I started storyboarding and laying frames in sequence (similar to an animatic) to see what amount of motion and ideas can be conveyed within the given timeframe. Then we had a professional VO artist re-record the voice over while viewing my loose storyboards to pace herself. I took the finished track and began to illustrate the graphics in Adobe Illustrator and then animating them in Adobe After Effects. Once I was done with my main design/animation pass on a video, I sent it over to the BU team for feedback. We had one or two revisions at that point to make points clearer and then it was off to the next video. This was a fast paced project that helped me develop a more efficient workflow.
